Ingredients

  • Rice - 1 cup
  • Yogurt (Curd) - 1 1/2 cups
  • Pomegranate seeds - 3 tbsp
  • Green Chilies - 2
  • Dry red chilli - 1
  • Ginger - 1 tbsp[Finely chopped ]
  • Mustard Seeds - 1 tbsp
  • Coriander Leaves - 1 spring[Finely chopped ]
  • Curry leaves - 1 spring
  • Salt to taste
  • Asafoetida - A pinch
  • Oil - 1 1/2 tbsp

Preparation

  • Boil rice, let it cool.
  • Then add salt & curd mix well.
  • Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds let it splutter.
  • Then add curry leaves, ginger, dry red chilli, green chilli & asafetida mix well
  • Add seasoned ingredients to the curd rice.
  • Add cucumber, pomegranate seeds, & coriander.
  • Serve with pickle

Note

  • Use fresh curd.

Tip

  • You can add Mango, Carrot, grapes & cashews.
