  • Urad Dal
  • Grated Coconut
  • Cardomom seeds
  • Sugar
  • Water
  • Salt - as needed


  • Coarse grind urad dal
  • In a pan heat water
  • When water boils up mix ground Urad dal and mix well
  • Add grated coconut and sugar and pinch of salt
  • Cook till raw smell goes off
  • Add hot water when the mixture thinkens
  • Spinkle cardomom powder and mix well
  • Serve hot


  • You can add saffron for color
