How to make Moongdal rava vada in 15 min video


Ingredients

  • Moong dal - 1 cup
  • Rava- 3 tbsp
  • Rice flour - 1 tbsp
  • Onion - 1
  • Curry leaves - 2 spring
  • Coraidner leaves -1 spring
  • Ginger- 1 inch piece
  • Garlic - 2 cloves
  • Green chilli - 1
  • Cumin - 1 tsp
  • Fennel -1 tsp
  • Dry red chilli - 1 or 2
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as required
    Oil for deep frying

Preparation Method

  • Wash and soak moong dal for 2 to 3 hours.
  • Then drain water completely
  • In a mixie jar add ginger, garlic, green chilli, cumin, fennel , dry red chilli coarsely grind
  • Add soaked moong dal, salt coarsely grind without water
  • Add rava, rice flour mix well
  • Add onion, curry, coriander leaves, mix well
  • Divie the mixture into equal size balls, flatten gently
  • Heat oil in a pan, drop it, deep fry until crisp and godlen brown on medium hot oil
  • Once its ready, drain on absorbent paper
  • serve hot with tea or sauce
