Ingredients

  • Paneer - 1 cup [cut into cubes]
  • Tomato - 3
  • Onion - 1
  • Ginger - 1 tbsp
  • Garlic - 2
  • Green chilli - 1 tbsp[chopped]
  • Cashew nut paste - ¼ cup
  • Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
  • Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder - 2 tbsp
  • Cumin powder - 2 tbsp
  • Garam masala powder - 1 tbsp
  • Kasoor methi - 2 tbsp
  • Coriander leaves - ¼ cup
  • Bay leaf - 1
  • Cloves - 1
  • Star anise - 1/4 flower
  • Oil - 2 tbsp
  • Butter - 3 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

Preparation

  • Boil tomato then peel of the skin, chop & grind to fine puree.
  • Add onion, garlic, ginger, green chilli in a mixer jar finely grind.
  • Heat oil & butter in a pan then add bay leaf, cloves & star anise saute.
  • Add ground onion paste sauté well.
  • Add tomato puree, turmeric powder & red chilli powder cook well. Add water if required.
  • Add coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder & stir well.
  • Add cashewnut paste & salt mix well..
  • Shallow fry paneer cubes mix gently.
  • Add kasoori methi mix well.
  • Finally add chopped coriander leaves then cut off heat.

Note

  • Use Fresh curd instead of fresh heavy cream

Tip

  • You can add fried onion paste
  • You can replace cashewnut paste with add almond paste or walnut paste
