Ingredients

  • Little millet [Samai arisi]– 1 cup
  • Yogurt (Curd) -1 1/2 cups
  • Pomegranate seeds - 3 tbsp
  • Green Chili - 1
  • Dry red chilli - 1
  • Ginger - 1 tbsp [Finely chopped ]
  • Mustard Seeds - 1 tbsp
  • Coriander Leaves - 1 spring[Finely chopped ]
  • Curry Leaves - 1 spring
  • Salt to taste
  • Asafoetida[hing] - 1/2 tsp
  • Oil - 1 1/2 tbsp
  • Water - 3 cup for open pan, For Cooker:- 1 1/2 cup

Method

  • Boil Foxtail millet & spread over the plate & leave it for 2 min.
  • Add curd & salt mix well.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seed & let it splutter.
  • Add Curry leaves, green chilli, dry red chilli, ginger, & asafetida sauté.
  • Add seasoned ingredients to the cooked little millet curd mixture, mix well.
  • Finally add corainder leaves & pomegranate mix well.
  • Serve with lemon pickle, or mango pickle.
