Ingredients

  • Cumin seeds - 1/4 cup
  • Corainder seeds - 1/4 cup
  • Peppercorns - 3 tbsp
  • Asafoetida- 1 tsp
  • Dry red chilli - 1 or 2
  • Sea salt to taste
  • Curry leaves[karuveppilai] - 2 springs

Preparation

  • Dry raost all ingredients except asafoetida and turmeric powder.
  • Put all roasted ingredients, asafoetida, turmeric powder coarsely grind
  • Once rasam powder ready, let ti cool then store in an airtight container use within one month
