Pazha Norukku | Nenthra pazham nurukku [Banana jamun]-Traditional Kerala Sweet

Ingredients

  • Banana [Nenthra pazham] -1
  • Ghee – 5 tbsp
  • Green cardamom -2
  • Sugar – 1 cup
  • Water – ½ cup

Preparation

  • Slice the Nenthra pazham into 1 inch pieces.
  • Heat ghee in a pan, shallow fry Nenthra pazham pieces till golden brown.
  • For sugar syrup: - Heat water & sugar in a pan mix well. Once sugar dissolved, add green cardamom leave it for 5 min in medium flame. Then cut off heat.
  • Then add shallow fried banana slices & leave it for 15 min. Then serve.

Note

  • You can add Jaggery instead of sugar
