Palak poori

Ingredients

  • Spinach[Palak, pasalai keerai] – ¼ cup [finely chopped]
  • Wheat flour – 1 cup
  • Salt to taste
  • Water As needed
  • Oil for deep frying

Method

  • Pluck & wash spinach.
  • Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan sauté for 2 min then let it cool & grind to fine puree
  • In a bowl add wheat flour, salt, spinach puree mix well
  • Then add water Knead it and make soft dough. Pour 1 tbsp of oil, Cover it & leave it for 15 min.
  • Divide the dough into equal size balls
  • Take a ball, sprinkle flour, place it on the chapathi making stone, and Roll over chapthi roller from bottom to top, take it off and change the position.
  • Repeat the process till you get the round or equivalent to round shape.
  • Heat oil in a pan then deep fry till crisp & golden brown.
  • Serve hot with any gravy.
