Ingredients

  • Cabbage – 1 cup [grated or chopped]
  • Curry leaves – 1 spring
  • Mustard seeds – ½ tbsp
  • Urad dal – ½ tbsp
  • Bengal gram – ½ tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil – 1 tbsp
  • Water as needed

For roasting & grinding

  • Black sesame seeds – 1 tbsp
  • Dry red chilli – 1 [chopped]
  • Coconut – 2 tbsp [grated]
  • Heat oil in a pan roast ingredients & coarsely grind without water.

Method

  • Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds & let it splutter then add Bengal gram & urad dal.
  • Add curry leaves, cabbage & salt sauté then add water cook till soft.
  • Add freshly ground powder mix well, sauté & leave it for a min then cut off heat & serve hot with rice
