Ingredients

  • Dosa batter – 1 cup
  • Beetroot – 4 tbsp [finely chopped]
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Oil – 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

Method

  • Heat oil in a pan add chopped beetroot saute for 1 min then add turmeric, red chilli powder & salt saute for 2 min then cut off heat
  • Heat iron dosa pan, pour batter, pour 1 tbsp of oil, add sauteed beetroot, cover lid & cook
  • Once uthappam is ready, transfer to a plate & serve hot with chutney and sambar
